Job Position: ECONOMIST – MONETARY ANALYSIS & FORECASTING
Job Description: Central Bank of United Arab Emirates - Abu Dhabi - Assist in the development of monetary analysis and time series, comprising the identification of monetary transmission mechanisms, the assessment of the core causes of inflation, and the impact the monetary policy could have on it. Review the sourcing of datasets, ensuring the credibility and validation of collected data. Makes effective use of statistics and econometrics to analyze economic data, particularly for monetary transmission and forecasting purposes. Assist with the quantitative analysis of the UAE exchange rate equilibrium and financial stability (i.e. credit growth, money supply, price levels and asset prices). Assist Monetary Management function to develop optimal systematic strategies for use as monetary tools in OMOs interventions. Provide input and support for decision-making to the Senior and Principal Economists (Macroeconomic Quantitative Analysis) including performing additional quant-related duties as required.
