Job Position: Senior Chartering Manager
Job Description: Selby Jennings Commodities - Dubai - The Company: A world-renowned cross-commodity Trading House is looking to build out it's presence in the UAE by bringing on an experienced chartering manager in their Dubai office. The Company is seeking a Chartering Manager, who will be working as a point of contact for the negotiation and management of freight rates and contract proposals with ship owners and third-party brokers. A sound understanding on the local UAE Dry Bulk Commodity markets is a primary requirement as well as an existing client-base within the relevant geography. Primary Function: The main purpose of the position is to support existing and new clients with cost-effective freight solutions. The position will report to the Head of Chartering. Responsibilities: Negotiate and execute physical freight contracts with ship owners and brokers for new long-term contracts and spot opportunities.
